Evaluation Criteria

When reviewing a manuscript, please assess the following:

Originality & Significance — Does the work make a genuine novel contribution to the field?
Methodological Rigor — Are the methods appropriate, sound, and sufficiently described?
Results & Interpretation — Are results clearly presented and conclusions supported by evidence?
Literature & References — Is relevant literature cited? Are references accurate and complete?
Clarity of Writing — Is the manuscript clearly and coherently written in English?

Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Complete the review within the agreed timeframe (typically 3—4 weeks)
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of the manuscript content
  • Declare any conflicts of interest before accepting or during the review
  • Provide specific, constructive feedback to help authors improve their work
  • Not share or use unpublished material, ideas, or data for personal purposes
  • Alert the editor to any suspected plagiarism or ethical concerns
  • Base your recommendation on scholarly merit, not personal preference

Writing Your Review Report

A good review report should include:

Summary: Brief description of the study's aim and findings (2—4 sentences)
Major Comments: Critical issues that must be addressed before publication
Minor Comments: Smaller improvements to language, formatting, or clarity
Recommendation: Accept / Minor Revision / Major Revision / Reject
