Abstract

Punjab faces a severe agrarian crisis characterised by depleting groundwater and soil health degradation. This paper examines the factors influencing farmers' adoption of sustainable agricultural practices (SAPs) in three agro-ecological zones of Punjab. Analysis of survey data from 280 farm households identifies knowledge access, farm size, and peer influence as significant positive predictors of adoption, while debt burden and fragmented holdings are negative predictors.
