Abstract
Activity-Based Learning (ABL) pedagogy has been adopted across several Indian states to foster child-centered learning and reduce foundational learning deficits. This quasi-experimental study evaluated the efficacy of ABL intervention on reading comprehension, vocabulary, and numeracy skills among 360 Grade 3 and 5 students in primary schools across Sambalpur and Kandhamal districts of Odisha. Pre- and post-test scores demonstrated statistically significant improvements in student learning outcomes in ABL classrooms compared to traditional rote-learning control groups.
